Woman Forum Elbasan (WFE) participated and was awarded the 2-nd Prize at a national level “Best Practices in the provision of social care services”; organized by the United Nations Development Program #PNUD and Partners Albania for Change and Development (Partners Albania for Change and Development), in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection. Best practices among the practices presented in the provision of social care services for individuals, families and groups in need were evaluated with winning prizes. The providers were the social care service centers of the municipalities, and civil society organizations.
The purpose of the competition was to promote the best models in the field of social services, which have shown effectiveness in implementation, and their escalation in other municipalities where these services are lacking to ensure the social inclusion of groups in need. This award came after 21 years of sacrifice, dedication and professionalism in providing psycho-
social and legal services by WFE. Over 4000 women/girls have been supported in the process of their re-integration into society. Because WFE believes that every woman is free and deserves to enjoy and live her rights for a life without violence and in gender equality!
